The Christopher J. Malvetti Fund

3K Memorial Run / Walk Saturday, June 15, 2019 Rain or Shine! Race starts at 10 a.m. sharp!

Registration:

Check-in is between 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. at the Port Jefferson Fire Dept. (115 Maple Pl. Port Jeff, NY 11777). Race will start and end at the firehouse.

Entry Fee:

$20 - Pre-registration (before Thursday, June 13, 2019) $25 - Day of race $10 - Anyone under 12 $15 - Post-race bbq only (non-racers)

Race Awards:

Top finishers male / female overall win prizes. Medals will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in these groups: Under 12, 12-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & over

Directions:

The firehouse is located at 115 Maple Place in Port Jefferson (View Mapquest map). From Rt. 347, take Rt. 112 North, approximately 1.75 miles, to Maple Place, and then turn left.

In memory of Christopher, and to benefit the Christopher J. Malvetti Memorial Fund, events are held throughout the year.

"A Run Through the Bubble"
Chris Malvetti enjoyed running on the local roads of Port Jefferson Village, "the bubble" as he referred to it. Held in June each year, the "Run Through The Bubble" is a family oriented 3K Fun Run/Walk and barbeque. The race begins and ends at the Port Jefferson Fire Department and the proceeds benefit the Christopher J. Malvetti Memorial Fund.

Checkmate Fundraiser
Annual gathering of Chris' friends and family at the Checkmate Inn, his favorite hangout and the place of his surprise 21st birthday party. Each January, owner Dave Morse, hosts this fundraising event in memory of his friend, Chris. Proceeds from this event benefit the Christopher J. Malvetti Memorial Fund.
